Please follow these instructions to get started with your Unity.
If you don’t have the Quickstart guide booklet included in your Unity Headphones packaging, please refer to
the online version.
Select an account method and follow the system settings to link account or enter email address and password.
Scroll all the way down and check the box to accept the terms and continue.
Make sure your Unity headphones is powered on, press and hold the power button until the light turns on. When the light stops cycling through the colors, your Unity headphones is On.
Press the power button once to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The light flashes blue to inform you that the Bluetooth pairing mode is enabled.
Tap “Set up My Headphones” to set up your Unity headphones.
Your mobile device's system requests to pair with your Unity headphones. Tap “Pair” or “OK”.
Tap “Open Settings” to go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair with “UNITY-XXXXX”.
(where XXXXX is replaced by your Unity headphones default number)
Once your Unity headphones are paired with your phone’s Bluetooth, come back to the Unity app and tap “Continue”.
Place your Unity headphones near your mobile device and they will pair with the Unity app. This process takes a few seconds to start scanning and complete.
If pairing fails, you can tap “I’m having trouble pairing” to manually start the BLE pairing.
Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of detected networks.
To enter your Wi-Fi network name manually, tap “Enter Network Manually”.
Enter the Wi-Fi name and password and tap continue.
When you’re done setting up your Unity headphones, the Unity app homescreen appears.
Updating your Unity headphones is only possible when connected to Wi-Fi.
To make sure your Unity headphones are connected to a Wi-Fi network, please follow these steps: Wi-Fi vs. Bluetooth streaming modes
Tap settings at the bottom of the screen.
Tap your headphones name in the “Headphones” section.
Tap “Software Version” at the bottom of the list.
The Software Update page informs you when an update is available.
Tap “Update Software” to start updating.
The app informs you when the software Update is complete.
Unity shuts down automatically and restarts a few seconds later. Unity recovers Bluetooth connection automatically.
To stream Full Fidelity Hi-Res lossless audio over Wi-Fi, ensure your headphone has Wi-Fi enabled.
If you want to use your headphone in Bluetooth mode, ensure Wi-Fi is disabled. In your Unity app slide the Wi-Fi switch to off.
This improves your Bluetooth streaming performance and battery life when not using Wi-Fi.
Streaming music via Spotify Connect through Wi-fi only works if you have already connected your Unity headphones to the same Wi-fi networks as your mobile device.
To connect your Unity headphones to a Wi-fi network, tap the “Wi-fi” button on the Unity app’s homescreen. Then tap the Wi-fi switch to enable it and select a network.
Open Spotify
Choose a song to play and tap the « Spotify Connect » icon at the bottom left on the player.
Select your Unity headphones in the list of detected devices.
Spotify confirms that it is now streaming to your Unity headphones. The rectangular icon means you’re streaming through Wi-fi.
Note: Spotify currently does not offer Hi-Res streaming. Spotify’s maximum audio quality is 320Kbps over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
For Wi-fi streaming, make sure that your iOS device’s Airplay® source is set to “iPhone” or “Speaker”. This action is only necessary on iOS devices.
You can access this setting from the iOS overlay on the Airplay widget (only for iOS devices) or on the Music widget from the lock screen.

Make sure your Unity headphones are connected to your mobile device in Bluetooth. If you are not sure, please follow these steps: Set up your Unity headphones
For Bluetooth streaming, make sure that your iOS device’s Airplay® source is set to “UNITY-XXXXX”.
(where XXXXX is replaced by your Unity headphones default number)
This action is only necessary on iOS devices.
You can access this setting from the iOS overlay on the Airplay widget (only for iOS devices) or on the Music widget from the lock screen.
Open Spotify
Choose a song to play and tap the « Spotify Connect » icon at the bottom left on the player.
Spotify selects automatically your Unity headphones.
Spotify Connects icon turns into a Bluetooth icon, this confirms that it is now streaming to your Unity headphones.

You can stream music to your Unity headphone with a third party app: Mconnect Player.

Streaming music via Spotify Connect through Wi-fi only works if you have already connected your Unity headphones to the same Wi-fi networks as your mobile device.
To connect your Unity headphones to a Wi-fi network, tap the “Wi-fi” button on the Unity app’s homescreen. Then tap the Wi-fi switch to enable it and select a network.
Download and open Mconnect app.
Tap “Play to” in the bottom menu and choose “UNITY-XXXXX” from the dropdown list.

The iOS system requires you to switch the Bluetooth source to listen through Wi-fi. This action is only necessary on iOS devices.
Tap “Ok” on the iOS info box, then select “iPhone” or “Speaker” to change the source, and tap anywhere outside the Airplay® box to validate your choice.
If the iOS info box does not appear, tap the Airplay® icon at the top left of the screen to display the Airplay® source list.
This ensures your Unity headphones will use Wi-Fi to stream audio from Mconnect instead of Bluetooth.
Once Unity is connected to Mconnect, the Mconnect Player appears.
The name “Unity-XXXXX” at the top of the Player, confirms your Unity headphones are connected to Mconnect.

Tap “Browser” in the bottom menu and select Qobuz.
If you don’t have a Qobuz account, you can use the free 3 month gift card that is included in your Unity headphones packaging.
Once connected to your Qobuz account, you have access to your Playlists, Albums, Artists and more.
The Mconnect Player displays the current song’s audio quality (bit rate and sample rate).
This action is only available on iOS devices.

Tap “Play to” in the bottom menu and tap the Airplay® icon at the top left of the screen to display the Airplay® source list.
Then select “Unity-XXXXX” and tap anywhere outside the Airplay® box to validate your choice.

This ensures your Unity headphones will use Bluetooth to stream audio from Mconnect instead of Wi-Fi.

Tap “Play to” in the bottom menu and select “Local Player”, then “Bluetooth”.
